# What is this site?

PathOfExileTrade.com lets you build weighted Path of Exile 2 trade searches. Pick an item base, select affixes, weight them by importance, and the site assembles a URL for the official PoE 2 trade site that ranks results by total weight. The most useful items bubble to the top instead of being lost in noise.

# How are weights calculated?

Each affix you add gets a numeric weight (.25 / .5 / 1 / 2 / 3 in Advanced; Low / Mid / High in Simple). The trade API ranks items by value × weight, summed across all selected affixes. The catch: stats with bigger numbers (Life rolls in the hundreds, Spirit only in the tens) dominate the sum at equal weights — so to balance contributions, scale the weights inverse to each stat's natural range. Reduced/negative-direction stats use negative weights automatically. The examples below illustrate.

Stats with bigger numbers dominate the sum at equal weights. Use weights inverse to each stat's scale so all maxed affixes contribute the same.

Resistances all cap at the same scale — equal 1·1·1 weights are correct here. The balanced item beats the lopsided one.

# Why isn't my affix showing?

Some affixes only roll on specific bases or tiers. We cross-check the in-game tooltip text against poe2db.tw before shipping, so if a mod is missing it's usually because that base genuinely can't roll it. If you think it's a bug, please file it via the "Vote for changes" panel above and we'll take a look.

# What does Simple mode hide?

Simple mode hides the per-affix minimum-value input, the Required and Not toggles, and the entire filter panel. Defence filters (Armour / Evasion / Energy Shield) for attribute-specific bases are still applied automatically — they just stop showing in the UI. Three weight presets remain (Low / Mid / High), labelled clearly. Flip back to Advanced any time from the breadcrumb toggle.

# What do I get when I log in?

Log in with your Path of Exile account to save searches, organise them in folders, share them with other players, and sync your search history across devices. Everything's free — no tiers, no paywalls.

# Can I use this on mobile?

Yes — the layout is responsive. The header scales down, panels stack on narrow viewports, and the tutorial spotlight reflows. Best experience is desktop because affix lists are long, but everything is reachable on a phone.

# Why don't you show trade results on the site?

Grinding Gear Games has asked us not to embed trade results that hit the trade API on a player's behalf. The currently acceptable flow is to generate a URL and open the official trade site, which is what the "Search Trade" button does. If GGG's position changes (or PoE 2 gets a public stash API), we'll revisit.

# How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Use the "Vote for changes" button above — it opens the same panel as the Vote button in the header. Your votes prioritise our backlog, and we read every comment.
